Looking for more space for their young family, our clients approached us for inspiration as to how this could be achieved for them. We advised that a double storey side extension would offer the spaces they need which included an additional double bedroom, new garage and large open plan dining and living space. In addition to these areas, we incorporated a bespoke office space that lead off the large open plan hallway, this was an additional feature that our client were not expecting to achieve, but were delighted with the prospect of this extra space.
We felt that the extension should be a continuation of the original house both internally and externally, rather than appearing as an obvious `add on`. We achieved this by taking careful consideration towards the roof design and proportions of the build. Discussions with the local planning authority meant that we worked together in order to achieve a positive outcome from the planning application process.
The services we provided include feasibility designs, planning application submission and detailed drawings suitable for a building regulations application and construction on site.
